Your voice is essential in shaping this new facility. We invite parents, students, educators, and community members to share their ideas, priorities, and vision for the design and functionality of the school. Good luck to the Knight's football team as they take on Sherman in round 1 of the West Virginia State playoffs! #KnightsPride

Tyler Consolidated High School Community,
We have been informed by the WVSSAC that as a result of the recent West Virginia Supreme Court ruling dealing with conflicting injunctions brought upon the WVSSAC, that our Volleyball and Cheer teams have been removed from postseason play in the State Tournament.
First and foremost, we want to express our apologies to our dedicated student-athletes and coaches that have committed far more than a season, but years of hard work that led them to incredible seasons and great accomplishments that they undoubtedly worked hard to earn. We could not be more proud of how you represented yourself, your school, and your community all throughout. Even in these times of uncertainty, you did not waver.
We take great pride in the commitment that our students make in their involvement in school activities, regardless the sport, club, or organization. High school extracurriculars truly offer once in a lifetime opportunities and unfortunately, those opportunities were left unfulfilled for our students due to complex legal disputes and decisions beyond their control.
We are disheartened about this decision and have many questions ourselves about this ruling. Our priority will now be to not allow for this unfortunate decision to take away from the great things our students have accomplished and will continue to accomplish. #KnightsPride

Today we celebrated our fall sports as well as our Cross Country state placers and Single A State Champion Amos Kimble. We also completed the 2024 Turkey Games in which the Freshmen took home the trophy in a 1 v 1 matchup against the Juniors. Congratulations Freshmen! From the staff and students at TCHS, please have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving! #KnightsPride #SilverKnightsNation

Pictured below are the participating Knights Band members (front-to-back; left-to-right): Keelin Yeater, Ava Gorrell, Selene Holcomb, Emily Fetty, Mya Fetty, Caramia McCoy, Caleb Gist, Will Worth, and Luke Deaton. #KnightsPride

Today Mrs. Jones sophomore health class went to the St. Mary's Correctional Center with Mrs. Goudy and Mrs. Northcraft. This trip was to explore career opportunities, listen to inmates tell their stories about the choices they made that lead them to where they are, and discuss the paws for people incentive program. This is an excellent learning opportunity for our students. I love that the inmates were transparent about their experiences and vulnerable enough to share their stories with us. We can learn from all who cross our path. Thank you to the St.Mary's Correctional Center for having us, Thank you to Mrs. Gum for driving us down, and thank you to the Board of Education for paying for all of our students lunch. Thank you chaperones, and thank you to the server at Pizza Station. Without collaborative efforts this trip would not have been possible. #KnightsPride

Staff emails can be found on our website. For those needing assistance accessing the parent portal, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Walton at 304-758-8644. Attention Parents/Guardians:
On November 15th, we are excited to welcome Jim Holler, a retired police chief and nationally recognized expert in child safety and internet crime investigation, to Tyler Consolidated High School for a special presentation on Internet Safety for our middle and high school students. Mr. Holler has over 30 years of experience in law enforcement and has been instrumental in developing internet safety programs to protect children and teens from online dangers. His expertise has guided families, educators, and law enforcement agencies across the nation.
Parents and Guardians, your role in internet safety and social media use and misuse for your student is critical. While students will gain insights on managing online interactions, you are key to creating a safe online environment at home. Parental monitoring and guidance can significantly reduce risks, making the internet and social media platforms a safer space for our students. Most importantly, please check their phones and internet usage!
With your help we can build a safer, more supportive community—both online and offline. Please, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to call the school. #KnightsPride
