On March 28th, 2024, Tyler County Schools will be participating in a local emergency response drill in preparation for a larger scale drill this summer. You will notice a large presence of local emergency services at Tyler Consolidated High School during that day. Please know that this is part of the drill and not an active emergency. There is no school for students this day, as it is an already scheduled PLC day. If you have any questions, please call the school.

It has been busy here at TCHS! Over the past week we have celebrated several things with and for our students!
First, our senior class enjoyed a day away from school for a trip to Emerson Lanes bowling alley and Grand Central Mall as a reward for their outstanding performance on their SAT during SAT School Day last Spring.
Last night, many of our Agricultural Education students received recognition by earning their FFA jacket, Greenhand degree, or Chapter degree. It is National FFA week and our FFA chapter continues to be our largest student organization at TCHS and had many things to celebrate.
Also last night, the girls basketball team kicked off post-season play with a big win over sectional opponent Clay-Battelle!
Students now enjoy a few days off before returning to school on February 27th.
Way to go Silver Knights! #KnightsPride
Tonight's HOME girls basketball sectional game is a BLACKOUT game!

The TCHS Jazz Band participated in the 55th Annual Marshall University Winter Jazz Festival yesterday. The band made quite an impression on the judges (who are all faculty members in the Marshall University School of Music), who gave them lots of compliments and positive feedback. The band received a clinic after their performance from one of the judges. Kaylee Haught, senior trombone player in the Knights Band was named an Outstanding Soloist for the event. She is pictured here with TCMS Jazz Band member Michael Cooper, who also received an Outstanding Soloist Award and coincidentally is also a trombone player. #KnightsPride
Congratulations Evan Crawford and Ralynn Heintzman, on winning the Tyler Consolidated High School Young Writers Contest. Both their writings will represent Tyler County at the state level. #KnightsPride
