At the 96th WV State FFA Convention the Tyler FFA had students competing in:
Land Judging & Homesite Evaluation
Parliamentary Procedure
Conduct of a Chapter Meeting
Prepared Speaking
Freshman Creed
Large Tractor Driving
The Land Judging & Homesite Evaluation team qualified to go to the National contest in Yukon, Oklahoma in the spring with a combined score of 4th. Laura Goddard placed 7th individually in land judging and 4th in homesite evaluation.
The Conduct of a Chapter Meeting Team placed 3rd.
Garrett Ammons Retired as the 2023-2024 State FFA Secretary.
8 Tyler FFA members served as voting delegates for the business session.
6 Tyler FFA members earned their State FFA Degrees: Allie Wince, Elizabeth Paden, Chandler Ash, Malachi Shepherd, Chance Rine, and Braelyn Nichols.
9 Tyler FFA members were recognized for their upcoming American Degrees which will be awarded at National Convention in October: Braden Greathouse, Abbi Kimble, Brody Seckman, Austin VanCamp, Brooklyn Wayne, Kaci Shanabarger, Jasmine Thomas, Jackie Seagrave and Chase Thomas.
We are proud of their hard work!
Anyone coming to open house tonight, please park out front and enter via the MS stairs. Parking and entry have been changed due to construction. Look for signs out front to guide you into the school.

Our Lady Knights Soccer team volunteered at the Wetzel County Animal Shelter this week. They are running a much needed program in our area and are very thankful for any donations of time or supplies. They said they can always use clay cat litter, cat food without added dyes and volunteers to help walk the dogs.

Mr. Jennings, TC Band Director, will be at the July 11th Open House event to answer any questions by prospective MS and HS band members and parents. New marching band members will still be accepted for the 2024-2025 school year. The July band calendar is attached.
The 2024-2025 TC Schools calendar is posted below. The calendar is also available in PDF form on all TC Schools websites, on the website calendar, and in the TC Schools App.
Please note the Spring Break date listed on the original calendar should have read 18-21; the print versions of the calendar have been updated. Look for the red wording "Revised 6/27/24" on the bottom of the print version to make sure you've got the most recent version.
The TC MS & HS Golf Teams are holding a fundraiser tournament on Saturday, August 3rd at the Sistersville Country Club. See the attached flyer for more information.
